New Partnership with Caley Cruisers in Inverness, Scotland
Bluefield Houseboats is pleased to announce an exciting new partnership with Caley Cruisers Ltd, a family run marine business in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, Inverness. This collaboration will introduce the M350 houseboat to Caley Cruiser’s rental fleet, adding a unique option for holidaymakers exploring the Scottish Highlands. The M350 is scheduled to arrive in early 2025 and will be available for short-term rentals throughout the season.
Scotland’s scenic rivers and lochs present a promising market for Bluefield’s M Series houseboats which have been designed to meet the growing demand for sustainable floating holiday accommodation. There are three models within the range: the M250, M350, and M500, offering 1-2 bedrooms, a spacious open-plan living area with kitchen and dining space, a fully compliant bathroom, front and rear exterior balconies and optional roof terrace. The M350 offers an exceptional and unique experience for guests seeking an on-water stay in Inverness.
“Delivering a M350 to Caley Cruisers is an exciting step for us as we expand into the Scottish market,” said Tony Reid, Director of Bluefield Houseboats. “Caley Cruisers’s commitment to quality aligns well with our core values, and we are thrilled at the prospect of one of our houseboats being in such a prime location.”
The rising popularity of houseboats in the UK has re-enforced the potential for Bluefield’s floating holiday homes. With Scotland’s increasing influx of tourists and the growing popularity of staycations, houseboats are an appealing option that meet the demand for unique, eco-friendly accommodation and they now represent a viable investment opportunity for landowners with water space, or marinas with vacant berths, allowing for a sustainable and profitable business model.
“We’re excited to add the Bluefield M350 to our rental options at Caley Cruisers,” shared Jamie Hogan, Managing Director of Caley Cruisers Ltd. “We believe it will attract a new group of tourists to Inverness. If it proves successful, we’re hoping to expand our fleet further with additional houseboats from Bluefield.”
The introduction of the M350 houseboat is equally anticipated by Lindsey Randall, Manager of Caley Cruisers, who added, “For the 2025 season, we’re delighted to bring a fresh and distinctive accommodation offering to tourists eager to explore the Scottish Highlands. This M350 houseboat boasts all the comforts of a modern holiday apartment but on the water, and we are confident our customers will love it!”
Bluefield also offers two additional standard ranges of houseboats: the Residential (R) Series and the Cabin (C) Series, along with a Bespoke (B) Series, which includes custom commercial houseboat designs. With growing interest in sustainable water-based accommodation, the company is optimistic about the demand for all its models in this market and looks forward to delivering more of its houseboats to Scotland.
